Dianpin uniquely supports Hanyu Pinyin input with significantly greater precision, providing users with increased control when working with Chinese text. Methodology.
The Dianpin approach combines word-based Pinyin with tone specific syllables, effectively reducing input imprecision created by the many Pinyin homophones. Users input with standard Hanyu Pinyin and in the instances of homophone words, Dianpin – specialized spellings based on Pinyin – can be used.
